Essence Roark

Essence is a Master of Public Health student at Yale University studying Healthcare Management. She is an intern for Ecopsychepedia and has been writing an article at the intersection of urbanization, climate change, and mental health. Since she was young, she has been interested in climate change and mental health, and hopes to contribute to both fields in her career. Before joining Ecopsychepedia, she was a research coordinator at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she worked on projects spanning topics such as smoking cessation, mass shootings, suicide, and trauma-informed education. Outside of school, she loves the beach, hiking, and trying new foods.
