Rev. Mitch Hescox is the President Emeritus of the Evangelical Environmental Network (EEN), where he served as President and CEO for 15 years. During this time, he has led EEN as an increasingly important and influential voice in conversations around caring for creating, including climate change, mercury pollution from coal-burning power plants, methane emissions, and other aspects of pollution that threaten human life. Rev. Hescox has testified before Congress, spoken at the White House, and presented at the Vatican. He is the co-author of Caring for Creation: The Evangelical Guide To Climate Change and a Healthy Environment and has served as a member of the National Association of Evangelicals’ Board of Directors and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Clean Air Act Advisory Committee. Prior to joining EEN, Mitch pastored a local church for 18 years.
