What is the review process?
After editorial review and dialogue, entries are peer-reviewed by a reviewer who is highly knowledgeable about the topic to confirm that the content is reliable and up-to-date. Their feedback is shared with the author to revise and improve the entry. Given that entry topics are intersectional by nature, and often present new or emerging concepts, we invite reviewers with relevant expertise, but cannot guarantee that every perspective is reflected in the review process.
Who are reviewers?
Our reviewers include researchers, health professionals, policy analysts, indigenous knowledge holders, writers, social justice activists, artists, educators, and experts by experience. Our growing network of reviewers reflects the plurality of perspectives and disciplines knit into entries.
How can I participate as a reviewer?
We are always seeking to grow our network of reviewers. If you would like to share your expertise, please contact us or fill out our get involved form.
